Ruby, Rails, and HOTWIRE for Modern Web/Mobile Application Development Event Held Successfully

The Ruby, Rails, and HOTWIRE for Modern Web/Mobile Application Development event, organized by the Faculty of Engineering, Department of Software Engineering, was successfully held. During the event, we brought industry professionals together with our students and provided comprehensive insights into modern software development approaches.

Modern web and mobile application development constitutes a fundamental component of today’s digital business processes. The increasing demand for such systems offers significant opportunities for efficiency, competitive advantage, sustainability, and innovation. In this context, Ruby on Rails and HOTWIRE provide a fast, secure, sustainable, and enjoyable development environment that effectively meets modern software expectations.

The purpose of the seminar was to support students’ professional development, inform them about current technologies, and strengthen their interaction with the industry. The program aimed to:

1. Introduce students to contemporary technologies,

2. Facilitate knowledge and experience exchange with the industry, supporting potential internships and future collaborations,

3. Contribute to students’ professional growth,

4. Support the SE323 Programming Language Concepts, SE362 Server-Side Scripting Languages, and SE480 Client-Side Scripting Languages courses within the Software Engineering curriculum.
