STUDENTS OF IUE INDUSTRIAL SYSTEMS ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT WERE AWARDED TÜBİTAK 2209 UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS RESEARCH PROJECTS SUPPORT

Students of IUE Faculty of Engineering and Computer Sciences, Department of Industrial Systems Engineering Ece AKBİL, Yeşim Deniz ÖZKAN, Gizem HALİL and Aytunç SERDAL were awarded TÜBİTAK 2209 support (domestic / foreign research project supporting programme for university students) with their project called “Application of Lean Production Techniques in PhilSa”.
The project is consulted by academic member of Department of Industrial Systems Engineering Asst. Prof. Dr. Selin ÖZPEYNİRCİ and aimed to solve problems caused by operators, layout, planned and unplanned activities using Value Stream Mapping approach in the first part of the project. In the second part, the aim is to eliminate loss of time and quality problems in planned activities using Single Minute Exchange of Dies method.
