STUDENTS OF IUE AWARDED TÜBİTAK 2241/A INDUSTRY ORIENTED SENIOR PROJECT SUPPORT PROGRAMME
Students of IUE Faculty of Engineering and Computer Science, Department of Industrial Engineering; Efecan ÇINARLI, Yağmur Simge GÖK, Gizem KANDEMİR, Umut KOMBAKÇI and Eylül Deniz MENTEŞE have been awarded “TÜBİTAK 2241/A Industry Oriented Senior Project Supporting Programme” for their senior project “Performance Improvement Studies in Health Sector” under supervision of Lecturer Cemalettin ÖZTÜRK.
The project aims to find the best allocation of operating rooms in Dokuz Eylül University Hospital to different departments using optimization and simulation models in the first part. In the second part of the project, the aim is to eliminate the non-value added times in student dining room of Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Medicine using simulation modeling of alternative layout designs.
Students will present their project in “International IIE Conference”.
