Visit of broadAngle in Izmir University of Economics

Garrison Atkisson, co-founder and CEO of broadAngle (https://www.broadangle.com/), a software company operating in the US and Izmir, and Nihatcan Çolpan, a senior software engineer and 2017 graduate of IUE, came together with 3rd-year students of the Software Engineering Department at our university and gave a seminar on December 16, 2024.

In the seminar, broadAngle's values, criteria, processes and tools used in software development were introduced. Information was shared on how software development teams are managed and how they shape the process. Later, they provided information about the quality assurance processes they provide to customers while evaluating the company's services. They presented information about the current tools used in software engineering processes, the problems they encountered during the release of the software and the methods they followed to overcome them with examples.

In between presentations, our guests answered students' questions in the canteen and shared information on internships and recruitment.
