IUE Biomedical Engineering Student Club (BME) was established

Providing an environment in which Izmir University of Economics Biomedical Engineering and its sub-discipline students can improve themselves, including academic, in-school and out-of-school, and at the same time, it offers a chance to interact with experts from their fields, even if they graduate, and is a scientifically innovative pursues the purpose of creating a platform.The club was established on 06/03/2020 and has a total of 92 registered members. BMECO Board of Directors consists of 10 people and 11 people are present in the General Assembly. There are certain sub-boards in the club: Media Board, Foreign Relations Board, Member Affairs Board, Education and Seminar Board, Financial Affairs Board and Audit Board. Although the club was newly established, it played an active role especially during this pandemic period. The club has organized 5 different conferences / seminars so far, including the Pandemic process. The first one of them is realized with Prof. Dr. Aydin AKAN who is the consultant of the IUE Biomedical Engineering Student Club and also the Head of the Biomedical Engineering Department. The second one is realized with Associate Professor Dr. Devrim UNAY who is the previous Head of the Biomedical Engineering Department. The third one is realized with Associate Professor Dr. Burcak ALP of the Biomedical Engineering Department. In the fourth conference, mostly career-oriented topics were covered and Biomedical Engineer Sule BASARSLAN was invited. In the last conference, Associate Professor Dr.Yildiz ULUDAG has been as a guest who broke new ground in the world. At the same time, new and informative projects continue to be produced.
